About Better Driveways
Better Driveways is a driveway, repair and patio enquiry service for homeowners in West Sussex, East Sussex and Hampshire, run by Better Home Hub Ltd.
What We Do, and What We Don't
We are an introduction service. We don't lay, repair or survey driveways, and we don't carry out any work ourselves. When you send an enquiry through this site, it goes to Better Home Hub, which reads it and, where it can, introduces you to a local driveway specialist who may be able to help. We can't promise that a suitable specialist will be available for every job.
Using the site is free and you are under no obligation. Specialists we introduce you to may pay Better Home Hub a fee for the introduction. Any agreement for work is between you and the specialist, not us, so the price, the work and any guarantee are theirs.
The guides on this site cover block paving, resin, tarmac, concrete, gravel and natural stone driveways, driveway repairs, and patios and paths. They are general information to help you plan, not a quote or professional advice for your home.
Before You Hire Anyone
We don't vet, insure or guarantee the driveway specialists we introduce, so please make your own checks:
- Get a written quote that says what is included, and agree payment stages before work starts.
- Ask for proof of public liability insurance and details of any written guarantee.
- Ask for references or examples of similar recent work.
- If they say they belong to a scheme, check it on that scheme's own register, for example TrustMark's search (the government-endorsed quality scheme).
- For a new or replacement driveway, ask how rainwater will drain: in England, some front-garden surfaces need planning permission. GOV.UK guidance on paving front gardens.
